TreeBaltimore:Mayor's Fall 2009 Initiative |
Program to Provide Free and Cut-price TreesD.P. Munro September 10, 2009 (Rev. September 12, 2010) TreeBaltimore is a part of the mayor's Greener Baltimore initiative. TreeNeighborhood, a component of TreeBaltimore, is a program to provide free trees to residents of designated Healthy Neighborhoods, and half-price trees ($10) to residents of all other neighborhoods. (Roland Park is not a designated Healthy Neighborhood. Still, 10 bucks isn’t bad.) For more information about TreeBaltimore, visit its web page here. To find out about the TreeNeighborhood program in particular, its web page is here. Ordering information may be found on one or both of these web pages. For more information about TreeBaltimore in general, contact Anne Draddy, TreeBaltimore Coordinator, at anne.draddy@baltimorecity.gov. Trees planted in the right place save on energy costs, provide shade, and cool and clean our air and water. TreeBaltimore’s TreeNeighborhood program represents a great opportunity for you to beautify your neighborhood, increase the value of your property, and reduce your energy costs. Join us in creating a Greener Baltimore! _____
